Empowering School Leaders: Strengthening K-12 Civics Education Through Strategic Support and Professional Learning

School leaders will gain valuable insights into civics and government standards, equipping them with the knowledge to drive student success while exploring impactful upcoming professional learning opportunities. Participants will receive information on how to register for the Civics Seal of Excellence and how it can enhance their instructional processes in the classroom. This presentation is focused on the importance of K-12 civics education and understanding how to utilize specific resources to support teachers and increase student mastery. Participants will see how civics and government benchmarks can be applied throughout multiple content areas and how the Regional Civics Literacy Directors and Coaches can support teachers and schools with targeted support, including one-on-one teacher coaching, school and district-based professional learning, and other events.
