The Florida Charter Institute (FCI) at Miami Dade College is dedicated to authorizing high-quality charter schools that provide excellent education and choices for families. The Institute will serve as a model for education excellence and provide opportunities for schools to thrive. The presentation will discuss the Institute's goals, policies, and practices to improve charter education in Florida, seeking input from attendees on challenging and supportive authorizing practices. FCI aims to create a supportive environment for charter schools while maintaining accountability.
