Why should I attend?
If you are interested in the success of charter schools and the choice they give students in Florida, you should attend. Presentations are for authorizers, administrators, educators, and charter school stakeholders.
When and where will the conference be held?
This year's conference is scheduled for October 19-21, 2022, in Orlando, Florida, at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel & Convention Center.

How much does registration cost and what is the deadline?
If you register by September 30, 2022, the registration cost is $240 per attendee. The registration fee increases to $305 for online registrations received after September 30, 2022.

What should I wear?
The Florida Charter School Conference is a professional learning opportunity. Business casual is appropriate.
Are masks required?
Per Florida Executive Order Number 21-102, masks are not required.
COVID Precautions
The Caribe Royale Orlando has posted their COVID safety plan online for review.
We ask the following from all participants before arriving at the Caribe Royale Orlando for the conference:
- Conduct a temperature check on yourself prior to leaving home for the conference; if 100.4 degrees or over, please stay home.
- Be aware of and comply with government guidelines (your home county's and Orange County's) regarding travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines before arriving.
- Bring your own face covering prior to arriving at the hotel and conference center if you choose to wear one.
- Be responsible for your own actions, behavior and choices in respect to keeping yourself and fellow participants safe.
Parking
Parking is complimentary for conference participants. If staying at the hotel, please use your keycard to access the parking lot. If driving in for the day, please take a ticket when entering the parking lot. Bring that ticket with you to be validated at the conference registration desk.
Current parking rates are as follows:
- Day guest valet: $12.00 (plus tax, per day, per vehicle)
- Overnight Valet: $15.00 (plus tax, per night, per vehicle)
- Self-parking $12.00 (plus tax, per night, per vehicle)
- Non-registered Hotel Day guest: $20.00 (plus tax, per vehicle)
Conference Check In
When you arrive, please check in at the registration desk located in the Conference Center to pick up your badge, conference bag and program.
Conference App
This year, the conference program book has been replaced with a conference app as a way to reduce touch points. Participants will be emailed instructions about three weeks before the event.
Information Desk
Stop by the FCSC Information Desk in the Conference Center if you have questions, concerns, or Lost & Found items during the conference.
Conference Etiquette
Please be respectful of your fellow attendees and presenters by turning your cellular devices to silent or off before entering session rooms.
Please refrain from holding individual conversations during presentations, as they make it difficult to hear the presenter.
The building is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted outside the building.

You may download a Certificate of Attendance to use for your inservice documentation.
Inservice Credit
All Florida school districts have procedures in place to assist you in earning inservice credits towards the renewal of your FDOE teaching certificate. Please contact your district's professional learning director to determine your district's procedure.
