Save the Chair-throwers, Save the World: How Charter Schools Can Lead the Way to True Alternative Education for Older At-risk Students
This presentation maintains that charter schools are uniquely equipped to design and implement a program that addresses Florida Statute 1003.53 on dropout prevention and academic intervention programs. Currently, the only alternative program available to at-risk students is a combination of GED and FCAT. A program design will be discussed.
